Aruna, the founder of Volcano Kimchi, was born in South Korea and grew up in a Buddhist monastery where every meal was made with home-grown, locally-harvested veggies. She came to San Francisco in 2001, and inspired by the freshness and flavors of her childhood, launched Volcano Kimchi in 2014. Based in San Francisco, she uses only locally sourced, organic and non-GMO ingredients to produce quality handmade kimchis that complement any table and cuisine.
