Alexandre Family Farm
Now in its fifth generation of farming, Alexandre Family Farms stands for sustainable organic farm practices, nutritional education, and environmental stewardship. They converted their dairy to organic farming in the late 90’s, taking their love of farming to the next level: they're "grass farmers," meaning their operations are focused on building a healthy ecosystem from the ground up.
Today, the Alexandre Family Farm operates four grass-based organic dairies with 4,200 crossbred milk cows on 4,300 acres of irrigated pasture in northern California's Humbolt and Del Norte counties. They also raise chickens for eggs and grow the majority of their own hay on approximately 2,500 acres of organic cropland in Modoc County. They believe that the most delicious and healthy foods are made when farmers work in harmony with nature.
