Zaddy's

Zaddy's

Petaluma, CA

Founded in 2019 by life partners and drinking enthusiasts Zadok Benham and Colleen Hochberger, Zaddy's emerged to fill a gap in the market for session-able, gin-based seltzers that prioritize premium ingredients and a craft aesthetic. The couple was inspired to create low-alcohol, low-sugar versions of their favorite gin cocktails. Starting as kitchen experiments, their vision expanded to share their unique cocktails globally, while also leveraging their platform for positive social and environmental impact.

Zaddy's stands out for its commitment to authenticity and sustainability. The cocktails are made mostly with organic ingredients, sourced from local, family-owned distilleries and California farms, ensuring freshness and quality. The brand is particularly noted for its environmental efforts, with a focus on recyclable packaging. The artfully designed labels on their aluminum cans are removable to facilitate recycling, and their clay-coated cartons are made from mostly post-consumer recycled pulp.

Moreover, Zaddy's is deeply invested in the community and environmental welfare. They are members of 1% For the Planet, contributing 1% of all proceeds to The Story of Stuff Project, a Berkeley-based non-profit addressing environmental and social injustices. This commitment extends beyond their products, as they aim to use their influence to spark important conversations about sustainability and social responsibility.

Zaddy's products, with their creative and refreshing flavors, appeal not just to the taste buds but also to consumers who value mindful drinking, environmental consciousness, and social responsibility. Their approach makes it clear why "Zaddy season" is a year-round affair for those who appreciate quality, sustainability, and community engagement.
