Van Leeuwen Ice Cream
Van Leeuwen Ice Cream began as a simple idea from Ben Van Leeuwen, who, while working on a Good Humor ice cream truck, envisioned a product made with premium ingredients and a better-for-you approach. Joined by his brother Pete and friend Laura O'Neill, they launched Van Leeuwen in 2008 with a single ice cream truck designed to bring artisanal ice cream to Manhattan.
Operating out of Brooklyn, NY, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream quickly gained a following for its ultra-premium, artisanal flavors and rich, creamy textures. What started as one truck has grown into a company with over 60 scoop shops across the United States and an international presence with a location in Singapore. Additionally, Van Leeuwen's delectable ice cream is available in more than 12,000 grocery stores nationwide.
The founders, Ben, Pete, and Laura, continue to run the business, staying true to their mission of delivering exceptional ice cream made with the highest quality ingredients. Their dedication to craftsmanship is evident in every scoop, as they continually innovate with unique and bold flavors that stand out in the crowded ice cream market.
Van Leeuwen's journey from a single truck to a nationwide favorite is a testament to their passion for quality and their commitment to creating joyful moments for ice cream lovers everywhere. Whether enjoyed in a scoop shop or at home from the grocery store, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream remains a beloved choice for those seeking an indulgent, artisanal treat.
