Founders David Ashin and Kevin Baryza, friends since high school, embarked on a culinary journey that took them through prestigious kitchens like Acquerello, Farallon, Globe, Brunos, Fish, and Blue Plate. Their shared experiences and passion for great food inspired them to create a pizzeria that brings the flavors of their childhood to San Francisco.
Though David is no longer involved in the business, Kevin continues to carry the torch, now joined by his wife Cindy. Cindy's impressive culinary background includes stints at renowned establishments such as Stars, Vertigo, Farallon, Jardiniere, The Slanted Door, and Garibaldis. Together, they have infused The Pizza Place on Noriega with a spirit of camaraderie and culinary excellence.
