Founded in 2010 by two gluten-free brothers, Marshall and Elliott Rader, The Gluten Free Bar (GFB) aims to produce good-for-you gluten-free food in good-for-you ways. The company uses simple, honest, quality ingredients to create tasty, protein-packed food that is non-GMO verified, certified vegan, certified gluten-free, certified kosher and mostly organic. Everything that The GFB produces is crafted in their own facility utilizing a local workforce. They are focused on creating a sustainable business that benefits their team members, community and customers.

The GFB became a Certified B-Corp in 2015. This means that The GFB meets the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. They are working hard to become a certified zero-waste food production facility, meaning that they must divert 9 out of every 10 pounds of waste away from landfills through recycling, reuse, upcycling or composting. Through these efforts, The GFB diverted nearly 100 tons of waste in 2018. The GFB is also especially proud of its Second Chance hiring program, which helps people who have traditionally faced barriers to employment (such as formerly incarcerated individuals) find work.
