Smith & Cross
Smith & Cross is more than just a name; it is a rich tapestry of history woven through centuries of England's storied involvement in the production of sugar and spirits. The brand's lineage traces its origins back to the year 1788 when a sugar refinery proudly stood at No. 203 Thames Street, nestled by the bustling London Docks.
Over time, this refinery and its partners evolved into prominent figures in the world of Jamaica rum. Their activities included the management of extensive cellars along the iconic river Thames, where the finest spirits aged and matured, patiently waiting for their moment of perfection.
Today, Smith & Cross serves as the rightful successors in trade to two esteemed predecessors: Smith & Tyers and White Cross. These partners, who once operated in tandem, have left an enduring legacy in the hands of what is now known as Hayman Distillers. As the torchbearers of this remarkable heritage, Smith & Cross continues to be a symbol of excellence, paying homage to centuries of tradition, craft, and a relentless pursuit of quality.
