All of our dairies are located in the Pacific Coast region of Northern California, which is known for its animated and vibrant scenery – from the crystal clear rivers that flow freely into the crashing Pacific waves, to the massive redwood trees that watch over the grazing cows. There is a direct correlation between these year-round grazing cows and their nutritious milk, rich in both omega-3 fatty acids and beta-carotene, that then translates to our high-quality, award-winning Rumiano cheese.
Using the Highest Quality IngredientsOur cheese is made using the highest quality Kosher and Non-GMO ingredients. We use organic-approved microbial coagulant instead of animal rennet, making our cheeses lacto-vegetarian safe. Natural sea salt is used for flavor. All of the milk used in Rumiano cheese comes from cows that are free of antibiotics, free of artificial hormones, and free of pesticides and herbicides.
Offering Certified Organic and Non-GMO CheesesAll of our Rumiano Family Organic Cheeses are certified by Global Culture and USDA Organic, made using pasteurized, organic Grade A milk. Our organic products are the world's first cheeses Verified Non-GMO through the Non-GMO Project, and currently the only cheeses to receive that certification.
All Rumiano organic milk producers are certified through the American Humane Association’s Free Farmed Certified program, which guarantees customers that the organic milk used in the making of Rumiano organic cheeses comes from cows that are raised and treated humanely. This distinction is another first in the cheese industry.
