Reem's California

Reem’s California is an independent business that is women of color owned. Inspired by the corner bakeries in the streets of the Arab world, Reem’s produces baked Arab bread products. Using ancient fermenting methods, their bread products are naturally fermented, setting them apart from other Arab baked goods and providing a complex and unique profile flavor. They also offer a line of frozen baked products, giving customers the ability to experience the warmth and freshness of baked bread products right out of their homes. Based out of SF, but with locations in both the Mission and Fruitvale, Oakland (endearing neighborhoods with rich histories), their mission is to create a strong sense of home and community, fighting the reality where the connection of home is endlessly disrupted by rising rents, gentrification, and colonialism. Thus, Reem’s allows customers to shop with both their palettes and values.
