Mirabeau en Provence
Stephen and Jeany are deeply committed to the environment and finding a way to produce leading wines whilst also respecting and preserving the surrounding ecosystem. At Domaine Mirabeau, they have begun a process to move beyond organic farming practices to a holistic regenerative agricultural approach – ultimately letting nature do its thing – inspired by the work of Mimi Casteel, botanist and ecologist of Hope Well Wine vineyard in Oregon. The domaine farmers don’t use any harmful pesticides, using natural compost and manure on the vines instead. Slowly but surely, they are renewing the rich ecosystem and reversing the intensive agricultural practices that lead to soil degradation and erosion.
