Josey Baker Bread
San Francisco, CA
Josey Baker (and yes, that's his real last name) started baking at home and just immediately fell in love. He started baking so much that he had to give the bread away to friends, neighbors, and co-workers 'til one day his neighbor Michael said, "Hey, I'll give you a few bucks for this." The rest, as they say, is history.
These days Josey bakes at The Mill, a cafe and bakery that he runs with the fine folks of Four Barrel Coffee. He grinds fresh whole wheat flour every day and combines it with a sourdough starter that he got from a friend's grandmother to make whole grain sourdough bread. It's sourdough bread with history and heart—the kind of food that fills you up and keeps you going. Try it here on Good Eggs, or visit The Mill on Divisadero in San Francisco.
