Honig Vineyard & Winery is a distinguished family-owned estate nestled in the heart of Napa Valley. Since 1964, they have been crafting exceptional wines, beginning with Sauvignon Blanc and expanding to include Cabernet Sauvignon. With a strong commitment to sustainable farming and social responsibility, Honig Vineyard & Winery embodies more than just a winery—it represents the Honig family's unwavering dedication to quality, community, and environmental stewardship.

From the moment Louis Honig, their visionary grandfather, acquired a picturesque 68-acre ranch in Rutherford, their journey began. He meticulously planted Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, selling the fruit to neighboring wineries. However, Louis had a greater dream—to create a family gathering place and produce wines from his very own vineyard.

Though Louis Honig's dream was sadly cut short, his legacy lives on through the collective efforts of the Honig family. In 1981, as a heartfelt tribute, they united to produce two thousand cases of Louis Honig Sauvignon Blanc in the vineyard's rustic tractor barn. The wine's exceptional quality shone through when it won a prestigious Gold Medal at the Orange County Fair, marking the official birth of Honig Vineyard & Winery.

In 1984, grandson Michael Honig, then only 22 years old, took the helm, assuming the role of managing the vineyard and winery. Alongside Sauvignon Blanc, the family expanded their portfolio to include small batches of Cabernet Sauvignon in 1989. With each passing year, their dedication to producing outstanding wines grew stronger, attracting the involvement of additional family members—Regina Weinstein, Steven Honig, Stephanie Honig, Rapha Cruz, and Ethan Weinstein—who shared their passion for winemaking.

What started as a humble "garage" winery has blossomed into a thriving enterprise, guided by a team of 45 committed individuals working together to uphold Honig Vineyard & Winery's values of excellence. Yet, their impact reaches far beyond winemaking. The Honig family firmly believes in the power of giving back. They generously donate wines to charity auctions across the globe and warmly welcome the community to their vineyard for various events, fostering a sense of togetherness.
