Produced right out of a commercial kitchen in Bayview, a diverse and historic neighborhood in San Francisco, Goldie Lox is carefully handmade in small batches. Founded by Julie Podair, a biochemist turned vegan chef, she is dedicated to cooking nourishing and experimental foods inspired by Jewish deli cuisine. Keeping the health of the oceans and bodies in mind, she invented an alternative to the traditional salmon using local, organic carrots. Goldie Lox’s mission is to celebrate Jewish cuisine in vegan, delicious, and healthy ways while supporting the ecosystem of the ocean and farms.
