Edith's Pie
Edith’s Pie began as a Thanksgiving project in 2019, baking pies for friends and family out of a one-bedroom apartment in East Oakland. When the pandemic hit in 2020, founder Mike Raskin turned his passion into a source of comfort for the local community, offering handmade pies for curbside pickup. As demand surged, business partner Jeff Wright joined to help scale production. By mid-2020, Edith’s had moved into a commissary kitchen in Downtown Oakland, producing up to 125 pies weekly for both direct customers and wholesale partners.
In 2023, Edith’s Pie opened its first brick-and-mortar café in Uptown Oakland, serving as a community hub and a celebration of local ingredients. Whether savory or sweet, every pie spotlights the flavors of Northern California, made with ethically sourced and sustainably grown ingredients. With roots in resilience and a love for classic comfort, Edith’s Pie continues to bring people together—one slice at a time.
