Vincent, the founder of Dang, named it after his mother: Mama Dang. When he told her about his plans to open a pop-up restaurant in 2011, she gave him a hand-written family recipe for Thai lettuce wraps that included toasted coconut. When he tried making toasted coconut for the first time, he was so taken by the aroma and flavor that he decided to launch a snack company instead. The team at Dang loves delicious, nutritious snacks and travel—it's where they find inspiration for their creations. They're also a Certified B Corp, so they meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance alongside their profit goals. All Dang's products are Non-GMO Project Certified.
