Bonny Doon Vineyards
Davenport, CA
Bonny Doon Vineyards was founded in 1984 by Randall Grahm, whose goal was to make distinctive wines utilizing Rhône varietals in the Central Coast of California. Over time Bonny Doon found great success, growing to the point of being the 28th largest winery in the United States. At that point, Randall became concerned that Bonny Doon was losing its distinction and uniqueness in favor of scale. He sold off many of the brands and downsized the winery's operations. Today Randall and Bonny Doon use primarily biodynamic and dry-farmed grapes, and focus on honing farming practices to feature terroir in the finished wine.
