Bodegas Parra Jimenez
Bodegas Parra Jimenez embodies the vision of the Parra brothers—Francisco, Javier, and Luis—to honor their native La Mancha through the cultivation of organically and biodynamically grown grapes. Their partnership with the distinguished Juan Antonio Ponce of Bodegas Ponce has resulted in the creation of the Gulp/Hablo line, along with other notable wines such as Friend and Farmer, and Hand Work, which have garnered attention for their exceptional quality and sustainable practices.
The vineyards of Bodegas Parra Jimenez are strategically located near the town of Las Mesas. The Entresendas vineyard thrives in a former riverbed, benefiting from rich, alluvial soils that excel in reflecting light and heat while providing excellent drainage. Meanwhile, the Olla del Monte vineyard, also known as Cuesta Colorá, boasts a gentle slope adorned with chalky clay and pebbles. This unique composition captures and radiates the sun’s warmth, offering vital heat during the cool desert nights and contributing to the distinctive character of their wines.
Gulp/Hablo wines stand out for their purity and drinkability. Demeter certification underscores the vineyard's adherence to biodynamic principles, while vegan certification assures consumers of the ethical and sustainable production methods. With a commitment to minimal intervention, these wines are defined by their natural qualities, free of added sulfites, and embody the essence of La Mancha's terroir. Bodegas Parra Jimenez continues to delight and inspire with wines that are not only enjoyable but also reflect the deep respect for nature and tradition that drives their creation.
