Amylu Foods has a rich history that dates back to 1924 when Leon Tiahnybik, Amylu's grandfather, established Leon’s Sausage Company in Chicago. Leon brought with him Old World recipes from Europe, which he shared with his new country through his sausage-making business. Amylu, who began learning the craft from her grandfather at a young age, developed a deep passion for creating delicious sausages.

In 1991, Amylu took over the family business, becoming the third-generation owner. She spent two years experimenting in her kitchen before launching her signature Sausages by Amylu chicken sausage line in 1994. Since then, Amylu Foods has expanded its offerings to include a wide variety of traditional ethnic and specialty sausages, as well as innovative chicken burgers and meatballs.

Amylu’s commitment to quality and creativity has made the company a leader in the chicken sausage category. The company, originally named ATK Foods Inc., was rebranded as Amylu Foods in 2018 to reflect the broad range of product offerings that now go well beyond the Old World sausages the company started with.
