Urban Moonshine

Urban Moonshine, an organic herbal apothecary, was founded by Jovial King in 2008. Beginning as a small booth at a local farmers market in Burlington, VT, Urban Moonshine is now a nationally recognized , women-led brand that brings high quality, certified organic herbal medicine to people. With the goal of making herbal medicine more accessible, they extract herbs sourced from domestic, small farms in certified organic alcohol to release constituents that are easily palatable. 

From start to finish, Urban Moonshine monitors the purity and strength of their formulas, ensuring everything is certified organic. Using the extracted liquid from the active parts of herbs such as roots, leaves, flowers, seeds, they create digestive bitters, herbal tonics, and blends to support one’s vitality and resilience. Additionally as herbalists, they spread pollinator-friendly plants and help to provide a balanced ecosystem. Urban Moonshine hopes to educate and change the way people think about the power of plants and herbal medicine and its effectiveness in everyday life.
