Umi Organic
Umi Organic, based in Portland, Oregon, came to fruition when CEO Lola realized how much the US was exporting wheat to Japan. Oregon, the largest wheat producer in the nation, was a perfect foundation for Lola to create a local noodle that would help the booming grain economy.
Women-owned and led, Umi Organic creates fresh and organic noodles for grocery stores using organic whole grain barley flour from Myrtle Creek Farm. Their noodles are flavorful, bouncy, nutritious, and can be cooked in just two minutes. Inspired by the East Asian model of using food to connect cultures, Umi Organic wants to provide delicious food that helps nourish the planet and the people within.
