Somewhere between a sea anemone, a thistle, and a fairy tale, these Aloha Roses from Full Belly Farm are quite the curiosity! Not a true rose, rather a cultivar of Centaurea americana (a drought-tolerant flower native to the southern central US), they bear wonderful tufted lilac flowers which fade into a gorgeous ivory towards the center, finished by a cinnamon-spice fragrance.
Other common names for this beauty are the basket flower, because of the basket weave pattern on the underside of its inflorescence, and shaving brush, as it bears a striking resemblance to old-school badger hair shaving brushes.
Care for these flowers by trimming their stems upon delivery, and doing so periodically, while changing their water daily.
