Semolina Artisanal Pasta
Founded by Leah Ferrazzani, Semolina Artisanal Pasta makes certified organic dried pasta in small batches using traditional Italian techniques and bronze pasta extruders. The bronze dies give each piece of pasta a textured surface that's perfect for picking up sauce. It's dried slowly at low temperatures to preserve the natural flavor of the wheat. Ferrazzani launched her pasta-making operation out of her laundry room, on a quest to create domestically made dried pasta that was as good as her beloved Italian imports.
All of Semolina Artisanal Pasta's products are certified organic and 100% vegan, made in a nut-free, egg-free facility. They're dedicated to maintaining a low-waste operation, reusing things like label backing as packing material to help minimize our environmental impact. They also work to create good jobs in their neighborhood of Pasadena, CA, and to alleviate hunger, reduce food waste, empower individuals, teach children about food, and improve the local and national food system. Ferrazzani believes that a successful business can be conducted with transparency and integrity.
