This family business began with Nicolina Sergiacomo Peduzzi, who was born in the town of Penne in mid-southern Italy and grew up surrounded by baking, cooking and pasta making. In 1981, with her husband Piero Peduzzi, she decided to revive the original whole wheat pasta that her father Gaetano had made. Her grown children joined the endeavor to create Rustichella d’Abruzzo: dedicated to finding the finest quality grains and blending them with pure mountain spring water for traditional, delicious, artisanal dishes.
