Philippe Auchère
Philippe Auchère is a small, family farm with goats, mixed agriculture and a reputation for producing classically styled, low intervention wines. Philippe has a background as a pastry chef. The attention to detail necessary in his previous vocation is evident in the quality of his wine today. The property is extremely environmentally conscious with strong focus on minimizing carbon footprint and dedication to organic practices in the vineyards. The limestone terroir and cool climate in the hamlet of Bué (in the heart of the Loire Valley winegrowing region of Sancerre) is ideal for producing crisp, mineral Sauvignon Blanc-based Sancerre Blanc and complex, plump fruited Pinot Noir-based Sancerre rouge.
