Modern Times Beer

Founded in 2013 in San Diego, Modern Times Beer and coffee focuses on aroma-driven, complex, flavorful, sessionable beers. Their 30 barrel production brewery and tasting room is located in the Point Loma neighborhood of San Diego. It was founded by Jacob McKean, a beer geek, former Stone Brewing Co. employee and long-time homebrewer, along with a team of consultants consisting of illustrious graphic designers, vicious attorneys, a slightly unhinged kombucha-obsessed real estate agent, one faraway brewing prodigy, a pricey architect, a gregarious general contractor, and (a bit later in the process) three outstanding brewers. Today, they're distributed throughout Southern California and have a fully awesome tasting room at their brewery—they invite you to come and check it out!
