Traditional Pastel de Nata

Pastel de nata is similar to a crème brûlée baked inside of a flaky edible crust. The inside is a perfect egg custard-- not too sweet and too to heavy.  It is a perfect balance of crunchiness and creaminess. It is no wonder why pastel de nata is the national dessert of Portugal. Massa & Creme is the only producer of pastel de nata in Northern California.
