Leadbetter’s Bake Shop brings an East Coast family tradition to the West Coast. Nancy Leadbetter opened the first Leadbetter’s Bakery in Portland, Maine on July 4, 1931. The award-winning Leadbetter bakeries drew loyal customers from throughout the local community and state of Maine, and were famous for the family’s hearty English muffins. Now, almost 85 years and four generations of bakers later, Jamieson Leadbetter is bringing his family’s baking tradition to San Francisco.
