A hearth-baked soft sandwich roll with a mildly sweet, yeasty, Italian-style flavor profile. The roll is hexagonal with two light parallel impressions and is baked to a deep golden brown. The bottom of the roll is lighly dusted with semolina. The interior is soft, and shows the random, open cell structure typical of wellfermented bread. The aroma is combination of baked notes and yeast fermentation. Parbaked rolls are packaged 4 to a fully sealed retail bag. Distributed frozen, ready to be thawed then set out for sale. These rolls are designed to be final baked by the consumer at home, according to the package directions.
