At Ichigo Farms, we’re all about growing the sweetest, most flavoricious strawberries you’ve ever tasted—in the wintertime! We’re a third-generation Japanese American family based in Monterey County, with over 50 years of farming experience. Our roots are in cut flowers, but we’ve expanded our passion for growing to include winter greenhouse strawberries!
Grown hydroponically in our sustainable wooden greenhouses, our strawberries get just the right balance of sunlight, ocean breeze, and care to be delicious all winter long. No conventional pesticides, no fumigation, 100% water recycling, and always picked at peak ripeness—because flavor comes first.
Traditionally, field-grown strawberries are a summer treat, since cold, wet winters make growing them difficult. But thanks to our 50-year-old greenhouses, we’re able to harvest and share fresh, local strawberries—even in the middle of winter!
Whether you’re snacking straight from the box (Bachan/Grandma’s favorite way!), blending them into a smoothie, or making the best strawberry shortcake of your life, Ichigo Farms strawberries bring the sweetness. Farming is in our blood, and we’re committed to doing it the right way—sustainably, locally, and always with Ai 愛 (Love in Japanese).
So go ahead, grab a box (or two), and taste the difference!Read more
