Flying Disc Ranch
Flying Disc Ranch is a 10-acre farm in the Coachella Valley. They use permaculture and biodynamic principles to cultivate the land. No pesticides or synthetic fertilizers are ever used, in fact, only vegan fertilizers are being used. Since the 1970s, each tree has been lovingly tended by hand. The farm is a tropical desert forest of date palms, a lush undergrowth of citrus, figs, and aloe. Home to insects, owls, birds and snakes, Flying Disc Ranch is a place like no other, producing complex and nutrient dense dates.
Martha Stewart says they are, “the best quality dates.” French Chef Alan Ducasse, author of Harvesting Excellence, says, “the best North American source of dates.”
