Clos Henri
Blenheim, New Zealand
Clos Henri is an organic winery founded in 2000 by Henri Bourgeois and his family. With 10 generations of experience making Sancerre, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Noir, the Bourgeois family was searching for new terroir to explore. Its vineyards are tucked into the southern foothills of Wairau Valley in Marlborough, New Zealand. The land is dry-farmed using traditional French planting and trellising practices. They are working towards a biodynamic ("beyond organic") certification. Bringing traditional techniques and know-how to the intense terroir and character of Marlborough, Clos Henri seeks to create wines with exceptional identity and place.
