What You Get
Country bread
Strawberries
Thyme
Lemon
Fromage blanc
What You'll Need
Olive oil
Salt
Honey (optional)
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a sheet pan with parchment or foil.
Step 2
Slice half of the bread into pieces about ½-inch thick and cut them in half, reserving the rest for another use. Brush both sides with olive oil, season with salt, and toast until golden, 5 minutes.
Step 3
Meanwhile, hull and slice the strawberries. Pick 1 or 2 sprigs of thyme leaves and toss the stems. In a bowl, combine the strawberries and thyme, add a squeeze of lemon juice, drizzle with 1 tablespoon honey, if you want more sweetness, and turn to coat.
Step 4
Spread each piece of toast with a spoonful of fromage blanc, and top with the strawberry mixture. Scatter with more thyme leaves and serve.
