Avinyó's Petillant Vi d'Agulla, which means "prickly wine" in Catalan, is named for its slightly effervescent character. Made from a blend 70% Muscat, 20% Macabeo, and 10% Xarel-lo, this low-alcohol, spritzy white wine has delicate notes of honeysuckle, tart grapefruit, lime, and a nice minerality. A great bottle to serve as a distinctive aperitif, with shellfish, fresh cheeses, or at the start of a festive gathering.
